    Below are the key milestones that have shaped the company into a leading Scandinavian provider of property remediation services.

    1973 - Origins in damage control

    ISS A/S acquires Cubus, establishing a presence in damage control services and laying the foundation for what would become Recover Group.

    1975 - Expansion in Norway

    Sporty Skadeservice is founded in Norway, later becoming part of ISS and strengthening the company’s service capabilities in the Nordic market.

    1996 - Establishing a Swedish footprint

    Saneringsentreprenad is founded in Sweden (later Relita), marking an important step in building a strong local presence in the Swedish market.

    2013 - Formation of Recover Nordic

    Following a management buyout backed by Agilitas, ISS Skadeservice operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland are separated into Recover Nordic, forming the foundation for a focused, standalone group.

    Late 2014 and 2015 - Entering Sweden and accelerating growth

    Recover establishes a strong position in Sweden through the acquisition of Relita, marking the start of accelerated expansion and the creation of a leading Nordic platform.

    2016 - 2017 - Accelerated Nordic expansion

    Recover strengthens its market position through targeted acquisitions in Norway and Sweden, expanding geographic coverage and operational scale.

    2018 - Entry into Environmental Services

    Recover expands into environmental services, broadening its offering and strengthening its position in a growing adjacent market. Digital tools and operational improvements are introduced to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

    2019 - Strengthening market leadership in Finland

    Recover acquires Aktiv Tankrens in Norway and L&T Korjausrakentaminen Oy, becoming the leading provider of damage control and renovation services in Finland.

    2020 - New ownership and leadership

    EQT acquires Recover from Agilitas and acquires companies such as MISAB-Gruppen, Skadesanering, Skadeteknik Gruppen and Rygg og Myrland in Sweden and Norway. Tjhis marks the beginning of a new phase focused on scaling the business and strengthening its market leadership.

    2020 - 2022 - Strengthening capabilities and geographic reach

    Recover continues to grow through a combination of acquisitions and organic initiatives, expanding environmental services, reinforcing local market positions and building expertise in complex restoration projects (Large Claims).

    2023 - Launch of SERWENT

    Recover Denmark broadened Specialized Services to include Special Waste handling, the Finnish Operations were divested and the new brand SERWENT is launched as a standalone brand within environmental services. All this to enable greater focus, specialization and clarity across the Group’s business areas.

    2024 - Divestment of SERWENT

    Recover divests SERWENT Group and the DCD part of the Swedish business, reinforcing its focus on core property remediation services and simplifying the Group structure.

    2025 - New ownership

    Recover enters a new phase as Pangea AS acquires the Group from EQT. With a strong foundation in place, Recover is well positioned to continue its growth journey across Scandinavia.

    Today, Recover combines strong local presence with a shared operational model, delivering reliable, high-quality services across Scandinavia.
